A Timeless Wedding at The Conservatory at One Sansome
I recently had the pleasure of designing floral arrangements for a wedding at The Conservatory at One Sansome in San Francisco. This historic venue, originally designed in 1910 and beautifully restored in 2023, features a breathtaking glass atrium, soaring ceilings, and granite-clad Doric columns. The natural light and timeless architecture provided the perfect canvas for an unforgettable celebration.
The ceremony took place inside the Conservatory, with the couple exchanging vows against a stunning original stone wall left exposed during the venue’s redesign. Its intricate textures and details created a beautiful focal point, needing only two freestanding asymmetrical floral columns to add texture and color.
The bride chose a sophisticated palette of white flowers with pops of dark burgundy and lush greenery. To complement the venue’s grandeur, we designed large, airy arrangements featuring gold accents, including six-foot-tall florals repurposed from the ceremony entrance to the guest tables. This seamless transition tied the entire event together.
Working with a bride who trusted my creative freedom was incredibly rewarding. This wedding, a perfect blend of historic charm and organic floral artistry, is one of my favorites to date. It was an honor to play a part in such a meaningful celebration, and I’ll always cherish this incredible experience.
